Location: Mt. Sterling, IL

Department: Human Resources

Reports To: Human Resources Manager

Wage Range: $15.73 - $22.40

This position will provide support to the transportation department in coordination with customer, suppliers, drivers, and other Dot/DTI employees.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Provides an HR liaison resources for all DTI employees
  • Assists with the planning and execution of HR initiatives
  • Provides training to employees and managers as needed for HR systems
  • Learn various HR and payroll systems and functions
  • Attends driver safety meetings to provide regular in-person support as needed
  • Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position


YOU MUST HAVE



  • High school diploma or general equivalency degree
  • Trustworthiness to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to interact with employees and other departments.
  • Computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.


YOU MAY ALSO HAVE



  • Bachelor's degree or 2 years HR experience
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Experience working in both team and independent settings.
  • Leadership skills to influence others and drive change.


ROLE SPECIFICS



  • Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM
  • Travel: Occasional overnight travel to company meetings or events. Must have the ability to travel independently, as needed, by any mode of transportation, including by car, plane, or train.
