Job Summary and Description

This position is responsible for the retention of designated accounts by delivering prompt, accurate and high-quality customer service. In our high-paced environment, there will also be plenty of opportunities to sell additional coverage to your existing clients as well as to write new business. Candidates must have the ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish and possess the skill to work independently and express excellent judgement in identifying and resolving coverage issues. Requirements include but are not to, at least two years of personal and small business insurance Customer Service experience, experience with Agency Management System (Applied EPIC preferred), valid NYS driver's license, ability to travel to and work out of additional locations upon request, and a valid NYS P&C license.

Hours: Monday - Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Manage an assigned book of business with a focus on retention and increased client profitability through cross-selling other products and services
  • Meet with existing and prospective customers
  • Quote and issue new business
  • Thoroughly and carefully process customer transactions as they are received in order to minimize exposure to Errors & Omissions
  • Document all interactions and transactions pertaining to customers
  • Comply with all office policies, standards and procedures
  • Be proficient in Agency Management System, carrier rating systems and other resources provided by agency
  • Any other duties as assigned by management



Essential Skills



  • A comprehensive understanding of Personal Lines insurance products and coverage
  • The ability to promptly provide accurate answers to customer and carrier inquiries
  • The ability to work independently and express excellent judgment in identifying and resolving coverage issues
  • Adherence to agency procedures for selling, servicing and processing
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in both English and Spanish
