Job Summary

Under general supervision of the Senior Director of Career Development, the Associate Director - Career Advisor and Industry partnerships supports MBA students in their career development, primarily focusing on full-time students but also potentially assisting online, part-time students and alumni. Responsibilities include career counseling and advising, designing and delivering career development programming, and building partnerships with corporate contacts and alumni to identify hiring trends and develop career pipelines. The Associate Director works closely with the Senior Director and the Career Development team to achieve internship and placement targets.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA or BS in Business or business-related majors including economics, communication, English or STEM areas.
  • Experience in higher education career counseling with proven ability to help candidates navigate a job search from resume and cover letter preparation, job search strategy, career coaching and interview preparation OR industry recruiting and mentoring experience.
  • Training or Adult Education experience creating and delivering effective and engaging workshops and presentations, ideally in career development themes.
  • Strong and detail orientated writer and editor.
  • Skilled relationship builder adept at working with diverse populations and cultivating long-term partnerships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or other related Master's degree preferred.
  • Direct MBA career counseling experience or possessing management and consulting experience in working with or hiring MBAs in public sector.
  • Experienced with using e-Recruiting systems, Career Leader or other assessment tools, and leveraging LinkedIn for a job search.

Work Environment
