Your Role With Us:

The Audio Visual Engineer is responsible for managing multimedia requests, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of audiovisual services. This includes scheduling, staffing, documentation, quality control, and time coordination. Additionally, the Audio Visual Engineer provides specialized services such as digital photography, editing, video production, graphic development, and A/V consulting. The role also involves maintaining and troubleshooting audio and video equipment, delivering and setting up equipment for events, and providing technical support for meetings and video-conferencing.

Core Functions:

  • Operate and maintain integrated conferencing technology, ensuring equipment meets manufacturer and department guidelines; document repairs and maintenance activities; participate in equipment maintenance, ensuring operations follow manufacturer instructions and department guidelines.
  • Interface with staff to assist with multimedia requests and troubleshoot issues in a professional manner; provide support and training for end-users and staff on information systems solutions.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in lighting and editing for video, sound, and photography; operate high-level video and photography equipment.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining standards for AV solutions; document inventory; maintain equipment maps; contribute to the development of a boardroom design and strategy roadmap, aligned with current technology trends.
  • Maintain supply inventory levels for smooth operation, with attention to cost containment; dispose of used equipment appropriately.
  • Assist the manager in preparing capital equipment and operational budgets within approved guidelines.

    Background/Expertise:

    • Associate's Degree preferred.
    • Minimum of two (2) years of AV-related or IT-related experience.
    • Experience in planning for and setting up AV equipment, troubleshooting, and performing routine maintenance preferred.
    • Familiarity with Q-sys software preferred; Familiarity with maintaining and troubleshooting the Teams suite preferred; Experience with IT Service Management tools preferred.
