As Senior Tax Analyst will be part of a core tax group with deep focus on accounting for income taxes (strategic, annual plan, quarterly reporting and accounting implications of restructuring). Basic accounting skills, attention to details, and ability to work as part of a team are necessary for this position. Today, Solenis tax functions include dedicated tax professionals residing in four different jurisdictions who oversee all aspects of direct and indirect income taxes globally. As Senior Tax Analyst you will report into the Tax Manager and will be responsible for the below:

Tax Provision:

  • Prepare and review quarterly/annual global income tax provision calculations under ASC 740 via OneSource Tax Provision and associated workpapers.
  • Maintain complex quarterly/annual FIN48 and APB23 calculations.
  • Produce and reconcile tax journal entries and footnote disclosures for quarterly and annual financial statement reporting.
  • Analyze and reconcile global legal entity income tax accounts and tax attributes on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.
  • Calculate and review domestic and foreign return to provision adjustments based on recently filed tax returns.
  • Assist with implementation and execution of SarbanesOxley compliance.

Tax Compliance:

  • Liaise with external service providers for the preparation and review of
    • domestic federal, state, and local annual income/franchise returns and supporting workpapers.
    • domestic research and development credit analysis.
    • foreign income tax returns in several North American countries.
  • Calculate and file quarterly federal and state estimated tax payments and extensions.
  • Prepare federal and state tax forecasts and cash flow analysis.
  • Maintain tax depreciation books, including quarterly reconciliation to the financial depreciation books.
  • Coordinate with outside service provider on various indirect tax returns and issues (e.g., sales, and property tax).
  • Research and document tax return-related issues as necessary.
  • Complete of special tax projects as assigned.

Transfer Pricing:

  • Coordinate data gathering with external service provider to aid in the preparation of local transfer pricing documentation files.
  • Assist in calculation of intercompany transaction schedules and related true ups.

Other:

  • Interface and collaborate with various Finance teams.
  • Collaborate on tax accounting and compliance with global tax team.
  • Oversee adherence to the organization's tax policies and objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required with concentration in Business or Accounting preferred.
  • 3-6 years of tax experience in a Big 4 firm, national public accounting firm, or large multinational corporate tax department
  • Experience in a tax provision system, ideally OneSource
  • Great communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced ever changing environment
  • Strong understanding of tax concepts.
