POSITION SUMMARY:

The Team Performance Leader (TPL) is responsible for the on-time execution of the production schedule by the shop floor, as well as reporting shift performance and issues into the daily integration meeting. The TPL will be the leader of the shift. Primarily responsible for ensuring the Production Teams meet safety, quality, and productivity standards. This role will also be responsible for meeting continuous improvement objectives and ensuring that operators are well trained and monitoring the performance of the team and taking appropriate actions and escalation when an individual or team is not meeting goals in safety, quality, and productivity. This position will function as the Leader for the Production Teams on the assigned shift and provide more focused guidance within their shift and between shifts to ensure collaboration and overall plant success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the continuous improvement programs in manufacturing operations. This is accomplished through the use of assessment tools, identification of best practices and implementation of improvement plans. This also includes the implementation of capital expenditure plans
  • Manage through production down equipment issues with speed to ensure the least amount of production down time.
  • Ensure engineering needs of plant facility and production are met and that continual improvement in efficiencies and safety are developed.
  • Manage maintenance staff and the needs of the Florence, KY manufacturing facility as well as the GXO side facilities issues.
  • Manage the service vendors of the Florence, KY Facility (for both Diversey and GXO).
  • Manage projects for the Plant Manager as well as Global Management within Diversey.
  • Responsible for writing, quoting, presenting capital projects to Diversey leadership with the Plant Manager.
  • Responsible for managing, improving Maintenance CMMS (Manager Plus)
  • Responsible for supporting installation, ramp up and training plans for new facility, team, operations team
  • Responsible for establishing, formulating SOPs for Maintenance team members
  • Responsible for supporting a Safety First Culture, helping to expand upon it

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • 7 + years of work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 5 + years of supervisory experience leading a team of production personnel
  • Prior experience with CMMS highly preferred
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, SAP experience desired .Ability to solve mathematical problems at the high school level.
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours with little or no notice.
  • Knowledge of equipment set-up, functions, operating procedures, and preventative maintenance techniques.
  • Prefer experience with controls, electronics, hydraulics, robotics, plumbing, and pneumatics related to packaging filling equipment and mixing of chemicals.
  • Prefer experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Must be able to lift and stack various weights up to 55 pounds repeatedly. Heavier lifting with lift assists is possible. Ability to stand for periods of up to 4 hours at a time. Ability to perform repetitive bending and stretching on a daily basis. Must be able to do physical work as it relates to the Maintenance/engineering needs of the production facility. Also works in an office environment and be able to sit for long periods of time.

  • Organizational Skills: Must be able to take and follow directions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Problem Solving: High degree of analysis, problem solving and creativity.
  • Technical Skills: Must be able to solve mathematical problems at the high school level. Must also have some basic hand tool skills.
  • Honesty/Integrity: Acts with integrity. Is trusted and seen as a direct, truthful individual. Can present truth in an appropriate and helpful manner. Keeps confidences, admits mistakes; doesn't misinterpret him/herself for personal gain. Stands up for convictions and values and makes difficult decisions.
