POSITION SUMMARY To work in the manufacturing areas, performing routine tasks such as labeling, stacking, packing, wiping or assembling of finished goods. Each task will be performed in the area specified by the Production Supervisor to support the needs of Production, and in a safe manner. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate the mixing tank controls and valve selection; know how raw materials are used; set mixing blade speeds, pump speeds and water temperatures for each tank and batch being made.
- Read each Product Instruction Sheet to learn how the batch is to be made.
- Monitor tank scale for proper operation.
- Mix batches by closely following the instructions on each batch sheet.
- Accurately record the chemical usage on all batch sheets including adjustments made when directed by the lab or pH balance formula.
- Inspect, clean and properly tag production holding tanks. Transfer finished batches as required to meet the schedule.
- Follow all company policies and procedures. This includes the verification of raw materials prior to adding them to batches.
- Transact raw material SKU's via SAP.
- Perform routine cycle counts for all mix raw materials and reconcile mix PSA's via SAP
- Occasionally will be responsible for retrieving and returning raw materials necessary for production
- Test samples required per SOP's and SKU's
- Perform any reasonable tasks assigned by the Shift Supervisor as required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum Experience required: 2-3 years of high volume plant manufacturing experience required. 1+ year plant chemical processing experience preferred
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs several times each day
- Ability to stand for periods of up to 4 hours at a time
- Ability to perform repetitive bending and stretching on a daily basis
- Employee must use and maintain their PPE, and follow Area specific PPE policies and rules.
- The wearing of contact lenses is prohibited
