POSITION SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to lend support to other Maintenance Mechanics, Electricians, and Maintenance Supervisors in the repair and maintenance of all company capital assets, as well as the fabrication and installation of new capital assets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and/or repair or adjust any equipment used by the company.
- Fabrication of parts using metal, plastic, or wood to support the company's needs.
- Monitor and service plant support equipment such as the boiler, waste neutralization, air compressors, or water processing and outside powder silo system. Also, service production equipment as required.
- Assist the Plant Engineer in layouts of and purchase of new capital assets.
- Assist in snow removal from exit doors, walks, roofs, and docks.
- Respond to plant security and safety system needs.
- Order parts and accessories.
- Perform any reasonable tasks assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in a maintenance manufacturing role.
- Must be able to lift and stack various weights up to 55 pounds repeatedly. Heavier lifting with lift assists is possible. Ability to stand for periods of up to 4 hours at a time. Ability to perform repetitive bending and stretching on a daily basis.
- Must be able to do physical work as it relates to the Maintenance/engineering needs of the production facility. Also works in an office environment and be able to sit for long periods of time. The wearing of contact lenses is prohibited on the factory floor.

- High Level of Mechanical aptitude (motors, gears, bearings, etc..) preferred.
