Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise clinical research staff members in accordance with USOR SOP and ICH GCP guidelines.
  • Responsible for ensuring at the administrative level that all research activities are coordinated with affected departments within the practice.
  • Coordinates staff training and in-services. Coach and develop staff.
  • Participates in the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, assessing performance, recommended salary changes, and progressive discipline.
  • Enforces adherence to company policies. Collaborate in the development of research accountability standards, metrics, and reports and identifies areas of improvement.
  • Collaborates with site research leader (SRL), upper management, and staff in the implementation of action plans designed to improve practice research operations and quality assurance functions.
  • Performance quality assessments.
  • Collaborates with SRL and upper management on the development of research budgets, financial objectives, and accrual targets.
  • Collaborates with the SRL, physicians in the practice, community, and referring physicians.
  • Ensure adequate staffing /FTEs for assigned clinics.
  • Float to clinics to cover staffing needs.
  • Develop programmatic work across the research department.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred
  • Current MN licensure and registration required
  • Current or pending OCN certification preferred
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, preferred in oncology.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of pharma clinical research, cooperative group research, and Investigator-initiated research.
  • Knowledge of basic computer programs is also required
  • Attention to detail, solid execution, decision making, strong interpersonal skills, and a team player.

Environment (Office, warehouse, etc.) -

Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
