Description

Position Summary & Responsibilities:

Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual Payroll analysis, accruals, reconciliations, audits, and reporting. Supports the analysis of month over month and year over year headcount and salary fluctuations for local and global leadership. Performs special projects as assigned by Payroll Senior Analyst and Associate Director, Payroll. Ability to extract data from HR, Finance, and Payroll systems. Payroll requires discretion, confidentiality, and sensitivity.
  • Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
  • Meet all company and regulatory deadlines.
  • Subject to key payroll controls in the company's internal control program.
  • Prepares bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll accruals and expense journal entries with accuracy and timelines.
  • Prepares and analyzes assigned monthly and quarterly payroll balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Participates in audits and incentives related to payroll, 401(k), and state taxing authorities.
  • Participates in annual reporting related to payroll.
  • Supports the annual budget process, as necessary.
  • Supports the annual bonus and merit increase process in collaboration with the HR team, as necessary.
  • Supports bi-weekly payroll processing, as necessary.
  • Identify automated ways of eliminating manual data entry or labor-intensive reviews by improving reporting or data importing.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and reporting for Finance and people leaders as needed.
  • Support intercompany payroll invoicing, documentation, and data exchange.
  • Perform all payroll responsibilities with absolute discretion, confidentiality, and sensitivity.

Education, Skills, & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with 1+ year of experience in Payroll, Finance, or Accounting. Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
    • In lieu of a degree, a High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of experience in Payroll, Finance, or Accounting is also accepted.
  • Experience with journal entries and GL account reconciliation is preferred
  • Experience using PivotTables and VLOOKUP in Excel is preferred
  • Payroll experience is a plus - The ideal candidate will have a combination of Payroll and Finance or Accounting experience
  • SAP experience is a plus
