Job Summary

Makes and serves coffee/espresso drinks and related beverage items. Handles food according to HACCP guidelines and standards for quality food-service operations. Interacts with customers and other employees in a friendly, courteous manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
  • Enters orders accurately into POS device
  • Replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area.
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
  • Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils.
  • Always keeps display equipment clean and free of debris.
  • Cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments.
  • Execute food and beverage processes, including deliveries, replenishment, pulls, stocking, rotation, cleaning, defect, signing and backstock.
  • Monitor and record temperature-sensitive food and beverage items
  • Record and complete all cleaning tasks as outlined on the checklist provided
  • Greets customers courteously and interacts in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction. Relays relevant concerns from customers to supervisors.
  • Engage with guests in a genuine way, which includes asking questions to better understand their specific needs, creating a warm welcoming experience.
  • Serves customers quickly and efficiently and prevents delays in serving lines.
  • Deliver an exceptional guest experience.
  • Demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to customers.
  • Ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively per standards. Serves food neatly and attractively per standard.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work in a safe manner at all time to benefit yourself and others; identify and correct hazards; comply with all safety policies.
  • Conduct opening and closing walkthroughs daily
  • Assists with the training of new hires, as well as the ongoing training of current staff, to ensure a consistent high level of professionalism among team members
  • Supports coordination of weekly staffing schedule including provision for vacation and holiday coverage.
  • First point of contact to support either studio in a call out or absence
  • Responsible for inventory of snacks and coffee products
  • Oversees the maintenance of the machinery and escalates issues with management
  • Effectively and efficiently working with all members of the Workplace team and providing supplemental support as necessary
  • Greet employees and visitors, welcome visitors
  • Acts as a back up support for welcome desk
  • Ability to assist with day and evening events
