What you will accomplish as an Account Manager at TAPCO:

The anchor role of the regional sales team is the Account Manager. These individuals will provide strategic customer care to our key customers in geographic sales regions to grow and maintain their business year over year. They will be responsible for creation and execution of a regional territory plan at the direction of the regional sales manager to achieve TAPCO's growth goal by product line and overall.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops and carries out an effective territory management plan to growth sales within an assigned region
  • Provides consultative support and expertise for our customers to effectively sell traffic and parking safety products
  • Responsible for prospecting goals set forth for new customers to TAPCO as well as existing customer relationships
  • Accountable for adherence to sales metric performance as defined by the management team
  • Strategizes within their region to create relevant marketing campaigns
  • Maintains customer data within their assigned territory in the TAPCO database
  • Responds and follows through on inquiries and sales orders through email, over the phone or our e-commerce website
  • Travels to regional trade shows and customer sites as necessary, and reports back to management
  • Spots, monitors and shares product and territory trends
  • Provides quotes, credit terms and bids to customers and/or prospects

Required Qualifications and KSA

  • Prior related experience
  • Positive attitude
  • Organizational skills
  • Strong customer service skills on the telephone and online
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Ability to assess needs and solve problems
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be outgoing and able to take the initiative
  • Must enjoy selling and finding solutions to customers' needs
  • 1 - 3 years' prior experience in a sales position
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • College degree in relevant field preferred
