Job Summary

Join a Leading Campus Dining Team at Texas A&M Corpus Christi!
Chartwells Higher Education, a renowned name in campus dining, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Dining Services for our high-volume residential dining hall at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in Corpus Christi, TX. In this pivotal role, you will be at the helm of day-to-day operations, driving both the operational and financial success of the dining facility. You'll ensure our dining program not only meets but exceeds the expectations of students, staff, and visitors by delivering outstanding food quality, freshness, and presentation, all while upholding our commitment to health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of the food service operation, ensuring excellence in every meal.
  • Supervise and mentor a dedicated team of managers, supervisors, and food service workers.
  • Handle HR responsibilities including recruiting, training, performance management, and terminations as needed.
  • Ensure exceptional client and customer satisfaction by maintaining high standards in food quality and customer service.
  • Manage food and labor costs to meet financial goals without compromising quality.
  • Ensure compliance with QA, sanitation, and Health Department regulations at all times.
  • Collaborate with the Chef and management team to create nutritious, high-quality food offerings for students.
  • Launch and promote new programs in partnership with the Chartwells marketing and culinary teams.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned, contributing to the success of the overall dining operation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS, Hospitality or Culinary degree preferred
  • Three to five years of foodservice operation experience
  • High volume production and catering experience is essential
  • Previous experience managing a budget
  • Desire to learn and grow with a top notch foodservice company
