JOB SUMMARY

The Financial Analyst I under the leadership of the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis will apply financial planning and analytical skills in the areas of 1) financial analysis, operational efficiencies and profitability, 2) timely and quality financial analysis and information to management, 3) development of various cost control actions 4) ad hoc project or analytical support. This position will also have a key role in process improvement projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop and enhance cost control projects and scenario planning models.
  • Prepare the reports, schedules and presentations needed to support annual business plan and the quarterly forecasts.
  • Build financial models that provide insight to assist leadership in making key business decisions in designated areas.
  • Coordinate and communicate - on a need-to-know basis - financial planning actions within FBS and FCI companies.
  • Assist in the development of automated monthly reporting package and other financial tools as identified.
  • Utilize various process improvement tools, assist with the identification of improvement opportunities and potentially redesign solutions.
  • Work across departments to define opportunities for improvement.
  • Audit existing business processes to ensure documented procedures and best practices are being followed.
  • Maintain current documentation on processes.
  • Work with operational teams (where appropriate) to identify weaknesses as business operations expand, and ensure controls are implemented and monitored.
  • Develop, manage, and analyze reporting on process performance.
  • Responsibly receive, transmit, and handle consumer and customer data per applicable policies and procedures.
  • Review and follow data privacy practices, policies, and guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. May participate in or support project and process improvement teams. Collaborates with co-workers and leaders to leverage knowledge and experience to improve processes, procedures and the work environment in order to eliminate inefficient and ineffective processes and procedures.

Compliance: Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, US AutoLogistics policies and operating standards and applicable federal and state laws.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; plus 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrate strong computer skills (spreadsheets, databases, word processing, etc.).
  • Is internally and externally customer focused.
  • Is able to promote, coordinate, and support change.
  • Is able to communicate effectively - orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrates Strategic Agility

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day; and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate is occasionally required to travel to other sites, including out-of-state, where applicable, for business. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While the job is generally performed in an office environment, the associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, areas in which moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals are present, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the office environment is typically quiet, but the associate may be occasionally exposed to loud noise levels.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

Minimal travel is required for this position (up to 20% of the time and on a domestic basis).
