We Require

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Human Resource Management, Personnel Management, Public/Business Administration, or a related field
  • An equivalent combination of job-related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis

We Also Value

  • Prior experience as a Recruiter or Recruitment Coordinator in a fast-paced, professional environment
  • Experience using an applicant tracking system, internet sourcing experience, and comfortability cold-calling and speaking with the public
  • College Recruitment experience or experience hiring interns
  • Prior experience with human resources practices, knowledge of employment laws, and experience collaborating with other human resources professionals in benefits, compensation, and employee relations

Job Contributions

  • Promote employment with Maricopa County through public engagements and events
  • Build and promote stakeholder relationships through effective communications and service delivery
  • Deliver professional recruitment services to a diverse customer base that includes publishing job advertisements, and screening and sourcing applicants
  • Ensure the accuracy and marketability of recruitment documents
  • Educate internal customers on best recruitment practices to achieve desired results
  • Support an award-winning internship program by mentoring college students and providing planning, presentation and administrative support

Working Conditions

  • The position is exempt from overtime
  • Hybrid telework and alternate work schedules are available after an initial training period
  • Work is performed in an office environment
  • May include travel to offsite locations on an infrequent basis
