Position Overview The Electronic Technician Maintenance III position is in support of the Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) Maintenance Program (ATMP) Contract. Responsibilities / Duties The Electronics Technician Maintenance II position will perform all functions required to maintain and repair electronic TADSS and equipment. Performs preventative maintenance IAW technical guidelines and equipment specifications ensuring proper functionality and safe operating conditions Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve routine electrical, mechanical, and computer issues by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents Performs inventory of spare/repair parts IAW contractual guidelines Enters work order data in a timely and accurate manner into the management information system Applies basic and advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems May supervise, provide direction/guidance, and check lower-level technicians' work Ensuring that all paperwork and reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner Reads and interprets schematic drawings and diagrams required to perform maintenance Other duties may be assigned This position may require travel to other installations and other ATMP locations throughout CONUS and OCONUS. Minimum Requirements 2-5 years' experience with electronics testing/troubleshooting. Intermediate computer and networking skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems. Must be able to obtain/maintain a valid driver's license and On-Post driving privileges Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Work extended period of time outdoors. Preferred Skills/Knowledge Excellent written and oral communications skills, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical, problem-solving, customer service and decision-making skills Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel). Physical Demands Stand for long periods of time. Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance. Bend, squat, climb, and reach. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing: viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading.
