Overview of the Position:

Responsible for the activities relating to purchasing aviation material by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for purchasing unique bench stock, piece parts, and end items in support of ongoing repair activity while minimizing purchase costs.
  • Develop and maintain vendor relations; resolve complex issues,
  • Generate, verify, and interpret incoming receiver reports and other various reports.
  • Contact vendors regarding discrepancies with quantity and quality, determine shipment status of orders, and trace delinquent arrivals from purchase orders.
  • Work closely with receiving department to ensure proper supplies have arrived.


  • Work closely with sales, technical, accounting, operations, and logistics personnel and resolves issues with as needed.


  • Other duties that may be assigned.



Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Prefer certificate or two-year degree in business or related field.
  • Prefer three years in administrative or customer service support role.
  • One year in Purchasing, preferably in aviation.
  • Excellent phone skills and able to communicate effectively.
  • Above average MS Office Skills and type 40+ wpm.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision with great organization skills, team oriented, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.


Hourly Wage Range: $23-$28

Education / Experience Requirements: High school diploma or GED required. 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
