The Loudoun County Department of Information Technology (DIT) is currently seeking a talented, highly motivated individual to serve as a temporary Asset Management & Database Analyst to build an asset management inventory system/database.
This position will work closely with the Chief Information Security Officer and the Assistant Director of Infrastructure to run automated tools and build out a comprehensive list of all County technical assets. This role is pivotal in maintaining accurate records, optimizing asset utilization, and understanding the cost dynamics associated with our asset base. Leveraging ServiceNow, the specialist will identify enterprise-wide assets (PCs, iPhones, iPads, Accessories, routers, switches, network devices etc.) streamline processes, ensure compliance, and drive cost-efficiency initiatives across all asset categories. The primary focus will be the population and auditing of devices for management and cyber security awareness and building fiscal models to help support the lifecycle management of assets.
Responsibilities include:
* Tasks will include gathering procurement data, license data, EOL (end of life) and EOS (end of support) data, contract data, warranty information, license assignment and automated scanning tools.
* Review and analyze ServiceNow Incidents and Requests as it relates hardware assets.
* Do data validation between all systems of record.
* Provide data insights that assist with PC, iPhone, iPad replacement schedules.
* Monitor changes assets during their life in the environment.
* Alert stakeholders to changes that are relevant to them.
* Investigate and resolve discrepancies to maintain integrity of software asset data.
* Identify and report on potential issues with County asset tracking tools.
* Report on issues with all supporting systems and input.
* Develop and maintain Hardware Asset Management related program and process documentation.
Requires High School diploma and four (4) years of related experience. Bachelor's degree in finance, management or economics is preferred. Experience and interest in Cyber Security.
