Access Representative, Radiation Therapy Full Time Day
POSITION SUMMARY:
To support the Outpatient Care Center (Infusion, Lab, Food and Nutrition, and Genetics) patients by providing a variety of services such as: registration, scheduling, admitting, database management, information processing, patient/department support, financial counseling and referrals to Patient Financial Advocates, verifying authorizations, verifying medical necessity, verifying consents and obtaining Advance Beneficiary Notices (ABN) on non-covered appointment types. He/she works in conjunction with other health care professionals to evaluate and address the needs of patients served to ensure timely access to services needed and coordinate care.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of formal business/medical training preferred. Completion of BA training program required.
EXPERIENCE:
Two to five years of related experience required.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Proven ability to calculate, use of Excel spreadsheets and Word processing is required. Demonstrated ability to understand and comply with applicable operating system, procedures, policies and tasks. Comprehensive written and verbal communication, analytical, organizational, and follow-up skills. Demonstrates professional and courteous behavior.
