Job Description

Missouri University of Science & Technology seeks an Assistant Director of Student Involvement. Reporting to the Director of Student Involvement, this position is responsible for the strategic vision for the programs and support services provided by Student Involvement at Missouri S&T. As the leader of a unit within the Student Involvement Office in the division of Student Success, this position will supervise the program administrator for campus engagement and operational staff within the department.

The Assistant Director will oversee event and external relations components of the department and support the programmatic components of student engagement. The successful candidate will provide guidance and support for the St. Pat's Board and oversee the St. Pat's Celebration, a major annual university tradition.

Specific duties include:

  • Oversee and allocate resources and staff in support of Student Involvement programs and events
  • Program leadership for student led program initiatives including peer mentoring, advocacy, and student activities
  • Directly advise and oversee the St. Pat's Board
  • Directly advised assigned councils or boards; Advising assignments may include the Council of Graduate Students, the Associated Students of the University of Missouri, Student Activity Finance Board, or others
  • Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate assigned staff
  • Coordinate departmental professional development opportunities
  • Represent the department and act on behalf of the director as necessary
Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

A Master's degree and 3-5 years of relevant work experience

Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $52,223-$57,000 annually.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
