Patient Tech - Surgery

Nights - 36 hours

The Johns Hopkins Hospital Plastics, Head & Neck, GI & Surgical Oncology Unit (Weinberg 4 C/D) 36-bed acute care unit for adult surgical patients. Care and services provided for: plastics, reconstruction after breast cancer surgery, gastrointestinal surgery for pancreatic or liver cancer, otolaryngology/ head and neck, and variety of other general surgery patients.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required.
• One year of clinical experience e.g., home care, outpatient, acute care (hospital preferred) technician experience during the most recent two years in a setting relevant to the unit; volunteer work as EMT or CRT may be considered.
• BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.

Salary Range: Minimum 17.37 per hour - Maximum 26.13 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
