Lowell General Hospital is seeking an experienced LICENSED HVAC Tech/Maintenance Tech to join the facilities team! Lowell General Hospital is a community hospital with 2 campuses and multiple offsite properties. Hours: 40 hours per week.

Monday-Friday Day shift 7am-3:30pm
Rotating weekends, Holidays and On-call shifts required

Work Locations: Lowell General Main & Saints Campuses and offsite Lowell General Properties

Guaranteed Hours!

Must be able to travel between campuses

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Current HVAC/Refrigeration LICENSE

3. Three (3) - Five (5) years of experience as an HVAC Technician in a commercial setting

4. General facilities maintenance experience

4. Valid Driver's license

The licensed HVAC Tech/Maintenance Tech inspects, maintains, repairs, modifies, improves, and operates central heating, ventilating, refrigeration and air conditioning systems to insure proper functioning at all times. Under supervision of the Property Manager and the Off-Site Lead Generalist the Offsite HVAC Mechanic will maintain the LGH Off-site property HVAC systems and perform multi-trade work including carpentry, painting, drywall repair and minor projects.

Duties Include

1. Performs installation, preventative and corrective maintenance on a variety of HVAC and refrigeration systems.

2. Responds to, evaluates, and rectifies problems with HVAC equipment and systems, pneumatic and digital controls, refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, and other miscellaneous HVAC and refrigeration equipment

3. Follows work orders, drawings, diagrams, other specifications and/or verbal instructions.

4. Plan, install, inspect, test, and maintain/repair systems and/or equipment.

5. Check completed work to ensure system/equipment is properly functioning.

6. Develop and follow preventative maintenance schedule.

7. Responds to repair calls, analyzes problems and makes recommendation for and/or repairs.

8. Initial response to HVAC calls and handyman tasks such as light bulb and ceiling tile replacement, 1st attempt to unclog a toilet, light shoveling and spreading ice melt, and/or working outdoors in extreme weather may also be required

9. Must maintain current knowledge, licenses and training in the applicable areas including installation and maintenance of air conditioning, heating and refrigeration systems and their ancillaries.

10. The position requires self-direction and will include being on the road and taking breaks and having lunch at the then current work location.

11. The Off-site maintenance generalist will also manage scheduling work and maintaining the work order system for the off-site group.

12. This position requires the ability to work cooperatively with LGH Staff, tenants and vendors.

13. Flexibility in shifts to perform work after business hours to minimize overtime will be encouraged and overtime may be mandatory at times. Rotating to 3pm - 11pm for 1 week every 2 to 3 months may be required

14.This position requires participation in the rotating on-call for Off-Site after-hours response and carrying a smartphone at all times.
