Overview

Virginia Oncology Associates, the largest group of medical professionals in Hampton Roads and Northeast North Carolina devoted exclusively to cancer care and blood disorders, has an exciting opportunity for a Research Data Coordinator to support our Cellular Therapy program, located in Norfolk.

Responsibilities

  • Keeps current all applicable patient reporting and tracking functions
  • Extrapolates data, completes case report forms, and ensures timely data submission in accordance with SOPs
  • Actively prepares for and participates in monitoring and auditing activities.
  • May assist with screening patients for potential study enrollment
  • Assists with patient scheduling for procedures required to maintain protocol compliance
  • Assists with coordinating patient follow-up visits and timely data submission
  • Maintains research records in a confidential manner according to all applicable regulations
  • Orders and maintains research supplies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Medical office experience required: At least 3 years of medical office experience preferred, preferably in oncology
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required
  • Minimum of one year experience as a data coordinator strongly preferred
  • SoCRA or ACRP certification preferred
