Research Analyst - PRN

General Summary of Position

We are actively recruiting for an experienced Research Analyst to join our team at MedStar Health Research Institute on a PRN/as-needed basis.

The Research Analyst works autonomously to perform research tasks and takes initiative to identify where research efforts are needed and has a foundation of analytic skills. This is accomplished by contributing to the advancement of health of our patients while impacting all aspects in our tripartite mission of education, research and clinical care. Completes research tasks with minimal supervision as defined by supervisor for research studies. Demonstrates good communication skills, is professional and technically proficient.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports several research projects in a portfolio of research at MedStar Health Research Institute that furthers MedStar's mission of advancing health through research.
  • Works with minimal supervision to complete tasks defined by the investigator that contribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of research studies.
  • Completes tasks in a portfolio of research that result in the research team's ability to publish in peer reviewed journals.
  • Completes tasks in a portfolio that contributes to the team's ability to have the work recognized and disseminated at national and international meetings.
  • Maintains good communication with other disciplines within MedStar Health to design and evaluate the impact of research initiatives.


  • Minimum Qualifications
    Education

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field required

    Experience

    • Experience leading certain aspects of research projects required
    • Demonstrated experience successfully contributing to at least one area of a research project and working collaboratively as part of a grant-funded research team required
    • Demonstrated experience conducting research in a healthcare setting (hospital, ambulatory care environment, outpatient clinics) preferred


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Analytical skills and background in quantitative and/or qualitative methods.
    • Basic computer skills preferred.
    • Works with minimal supervision to complete research tasks defined by supervisor.
    • Good communication skills and technically proficient.
    • Must be comfortable taking direction from project team in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.

    This position has a hiring range of $58,656 - $98,384
