INVESTMENT BANKING Our division works on some of the most complex financial challenges and transactions in the market today. YOUR IMPACT OUR IMPACT The Consumer Retail group (CRG) advises clients in the consumer and retail sectors on various financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts (LBOs), equity / equity-linked and debt financings, joint ventures, restructurings, activism defense and financial investments. Key sub-sectors in Consumer Retail include Food & Beverage, Beauty & Personal Care, Branded Consumer Durables, Apparel, Restaurants, Grocery Retailers & Convenience Stores, Hardlines & Specialty Retailers, etc. HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL Investment Banking Analysts at Goldman Sachs gain exposure to the firm's businesses and expanded knowledge of the investment banking industry, as they develop key analytical, communications, marketing and sales skills. Analysts create and analyze financial models, performing scenario analyses and tests to examine the effects of client alternatives. In addition, analysts organize and prepare presentations, which explain industry trends, discuss client options, and recommend strategies to meet client goals. Analysts may also participate in and conduct due diligence sessions, a necessary component of financial transactions. From maintaining client communication to helping Goldman Sachs structure client transactions, our analysts are a vital part of Goldman Sachs banking teams.
