LOCATION: Bloomfield, Connecticut

BASE RATE PER HOUR: $31.35

SHIFT: 3rd (Off on Mondays and Fridays)

HOURS: Generally, starts as early as 10 PM with overtime on an as needed basis based on business needs. Starting times and hours may vary depending on coverage due to report-offs and the production schedule especially during holidays. Good attendance and punctuality required.

The Receiving Coordinator will work with the department manager and supervisor to assign work and follow-up to make sure work was adequately completed in a timely manner. They will also supply coworkers with necessary tools and supplies when needed, train new employees, ensure that all daily paperwork is filled out and enforce company policies and programs. The Receiving Coordinator will have various duties within the receiving area. They will have job responsibilities of receiving of all raw ingredients and packaging used at the plant. They will work with purchasing to schedule all the inbound deliveries, as well as the outbound for all other departments. Also, receipt of all bulk items. They will keep accurate inventories and inventory counts using the SAP system. They will be responsible for the proper storage and rotation of all the above-mentioned items. The receiver will deliver the needed daily items to a staging area for use by production. The receiver will neatly and accurately fill out all necessary paperwork and turn it into the proper place. They will be responsible for area housekeeping and other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Review pertinent information with the previous shift.
  • Aid in the scheduling all inbound and outbound for the receiving area.
  • Safety checks on all equipment used.
  • Extensive use of forklift needs to be certified.
  • Receive all inbound ingredients and packaging.
  • Coordinate with remote warehouse to shuttle daily requirements of ingredients and packaging needed for daily production.
  • Work with delivery companies to ship and receive items for the plant.
  • Take inventories.
  • Must adhere to all GMP and Food Safety Policies and Practices
  • Empty trash as needed.
  • Assist employees in other areas.
  • Be responsible for giving relief.
  • Neatly and accurately fill out all necessary documentation (Ex. HACCP, SAP. CTS)
  • Maintain a safe neat and clean work area accordance with GMP and Good House Keeping Practices (GHP's)
  • Communicate with co-workers and supervisors
  • Shut-off valves
  • Flour Silo's - Flour is put appropriate silo (6 silo's 4 different flours)
  • Bulk Liquid tanks - liquid is put in proper tank and check screens (4 liquids, yeast tanks)
  • Follow all JSA guidelines

Equipment Used:

  • Personal Protective Equipment (JSA's)
  • Trash cans
  • Forklift Powered hand jack
  • Utility knife
  • Small hand tools
  • Housekeeping Equipment

Education and/or Experience:
College degree preferred; two to three years related experience and/or training in high paced, environment equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills:

  • Strong computer proficiency is required in the following: Lotus Notes, SAP Windows based software applications (Word and Excel).
  • They are capable of training employees on industrial equipment and various responsibilities.
  • Strong communication skills are required to manage vendors, scheduling and trucking companies for interplant shipments.
  • Forklift license and CDL preferred.

Work Conditions:

  • 8-12 Hour shift. Will receive 2 fifteen-minute breaks and one-half hour break. Overtime is required.
  • Environment - Noise levels will be minimal to moderate, and temperature will be controlled. Lighting is sufficient. There is a possibility of slippery footing.

Compensation and Benefits:

The starting rate for this full-time, hourly position is $31.35.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
