About the Role

Culmen International is seeking for an onsite Business Data Analyst will play a critical role supporting a national level program for a key U.S. federal client. Qualified candidate will leverage Culmen's existing proprietary system or application to pull, summarize, aggregate and/or synthesize data, and reports to facilitate information flow, identify and summarize trends or patterns, and facilitate programmatic decision-making. Business Data Analyst will interface regularly with the system IT Team, operational team and senior decision makers. Business Data Analyst will become knowledgeable with the system and eventually become a resident expert with our system.

This position is classified as part-time, with a maximum commitment of 20 hours per week. This flexible schedule allows for a balanced work-life experience while contributing effectively to our team's goals and mission.



What You'll Do in Your New Role

    Extracts, aggregates and synthesize large and complex data set to capture trends, issues.
  • Retrieve applicable information from our system and quickly respond to external data calls or investigations/incidents or client-specific requests.
  • Ability to translate complex business or operational needs into clear and actionable requirements, from use case development through design and implementation.
  • Collaborate and facilitate the planning, design, development, and deployment of system enhancements.
  • Collaborates with all Team members to clearly and communicate data sets, suggest enhancements to the system to facilitate much clearer or impactful reports and assist the IT Team, as required.
  • Takes initiative to present cohesive ideas and suggestions to management regarding streamlining or improving the system, processes and business processes.
  • Will be involved in defined processes and workflows.
  • Other closely related duties as operational needs dictate.


Required Qualifications

  • 5 years' experience working as business data analyst or operational analyst.
  • 3 years' experience working with enterprise applications or systems; must be comfortable with technology.
  • 2 years' experience working with Tableau and other similar visualization applications.
  • Bachelor's Degree in data analytics, information systems or directly related field.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • HSPD-12 PIV Credential Tier 1.
  • National Agency Check and Inquiries-NACI Clearance.
  • Ability to pass a drug test; will be subject to random drug testing throughout employment.
