The Office of Undergraduate Admission at the University of Virginia invites applications for the position of Tour Coordinator. Under the supervision of an Associate Dean, the Tour Coordinator performs duties related to the recruitment, admission, and enrollment of students to the University. The Tour Coordinator's responsibilities include oversight of daily admission visits and special group tours and ensuring a warm and welcoming experience for visitors. This role will also manage the day-to-day operations and staffing for a team of student ambassadors/tour guides, which we call admission interns. The tour coordinator will create and give reports on visit metrics and monitor survey feedback, contributing to the greater strategic plan of the recruitment team and Office of Undergraduate Admission. Additional responsibilities will include support for admission events, procurement and management of promotional items and materials, and general project management. Minimum Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge, skills and abilities: Strong organizational skills; Ability to lead and work collaboratively with a team and interest in team development; familiarity with database systems and/or CRMs, specifically Slate; ability to work occasional evenings and weekends; experience with utilizing technology in work responsibilities; strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; and willingness to travel and work flexible and irregular hours. Appointment Terms: This is a full-time, permanent position in Charlottesville, Virginia. This role will report in person. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience and includes a comprehensive benefits package. This is a Non-Exempt level, benefited position.
