Job Description

Looking For: A Training Specialist for future support of the TACNET program in San Diego, CA.

As a Training Specialist III, you will:

A week in the life of a Training Specialist III:



  • Provide training support services including development of CANES system training requirements and documentation of those requirements in the CANES Navy Training System Plan (NTSP).
  • Design training solutions, procures HW/SW and engineering services for installation of those training solutions at Fleet Concentration Area (FCA) sites.
  • Develops Navy Standard courses implementing the training solutions and conducts CANES technical training

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree and 12+ years of expeirence OR Master's Degree and 10+ years of experience.
  • Active Secret Clearance


At least Ten (10) years of experiece in:



  • Professional training experience in the training development environment.
  • Technical Training in TACNET or other Navy C4I systems Administration and Maintenance.
  • Navy Shipboard Networks to include CANES or other TACNET systems.
  • Experience should include three (3) of the following four (4) areas: Network Administration, System Administration, Technical Documentation, and Training. Recognized expert who has demonstrated expertise in C4I Networks and System Administration.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $ 130,000 - 140,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
