Description
Position Summary: The Training and Development Manager is Responsible for identifying and assessing training needs, creating tailored training plans, and implementing various training methods to enhance employees' skills and performance. Responsible for monitoring training program effectiveness, manage training and development program compliance, and remaining updated and implementing current and innovative training strategies. Essential Job Functions:
- Produce training and development materials
- Research and evaluate current and historical training strategies, helping implement into training and development sessions
- Assist in curriculum development
- Organize and manage virtual and in-person training and development sessions
- Ability to conduct analysis on retention, attrition, and evaluation processes in relation to L&D.
- Help design and deliver e-learning courses, workshops and other trainings
- Collaborate with training department to manage compliance of all ODL programs.
- Deliver engaging and interactive live, virtual and on-demand training and workshop sessions for employees across the organization.
- Assist with evaluating and identifying training needs throughout the organization on an on-going basis; assisting with developing training and development solutions.
- Monitoring, tracking, and reporting on organization-wide training programs in addition to specialized training programs that address the learning and development needs of a department, position and/or functional area.
- Help managers and leaders develop their staff through career pathing and succession planning.
- Must embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of WestCare Foundation; and other relevant duties as assigned
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications: Certifications/Licensure:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree is required.
Experience and Competencies:
- A minimum of 25% work travel
- Minimum three years' experience delivering training to small groups
- Proven experience as an L&D, Instructional Design or Training Manager
- Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices
- Experience in project management
- Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build rapport with employees and vendors
Working Conditions:
- Indoor settings.
- Fast paced environment.
- A minimum of 40 hours per week are expected but significantly more hours will often be required. Completion of job duties may require working before and after normal working hours. Being able to work as many hours as is necessary to complete job tasks is a required and essential duty of this position.

- Requires mobility and physical activity: Having an adequate range of body motion and mobility to work in an office, residential, or outdoor environment including standing and walking (even and uneven surfaces), sitting for extended periods of time, bending, twisting, reaching, balancing, occasional lifting and carrying of up to 30 pounds. Use of computer and telephone systems is required which includes coordination of eye and hand, and fine manipulation by the hands (typing, writing, and working with files). - Requires talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Talking is required to impart oral information to employees, clients, patients, and the public, and in those activities in which the employee is required to convey detailed or important spoken instructions to others accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Requires hearing: Hearing is required to receive and communicate detailed information through oral communication.
- Requires seeing: Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and at distance. This factor is required to complete paperwork for many of the employee's essential job functions and to observe client behavior and activities in and out of the facility.
- The normal work routine involves no exposure to human blood, body fluids or tissues. However, exposure or potential exposure may be required as a condition of employment. Appropriate personal protective equipment will be readily available to every employee.
