The Investment Manager Services Division (IMS) at SEI is growing rapidly and is seeking new members on our Financial Reporting team. Our primary goal is to provide exceptional administration services to our clients' while interacting with Fund Accounting teams, auditors, printers, and other SEI personnel. As a financial reporting manager, you will manage the preparation of financial statement process for various clients in accordance with the regulatory and/or and client calendars.

What you will do:

  • In the financial reporting function, you will be responsible for managing and, in some cases, participating in the drafting of the annual, quarterly and other financial statements for clients as applicable. In addition, you will be responsible for the execution of the financial reporting process controls and will conduct internal reviews and manage the external reviews for these documents. To do this, you will oversee the financial reporting specialists assigned to you and will prepare the necessary documentation, provide to clients and, where applicable, assist in filings with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) in accordance with the regulatory deadlines.
  • As a manager of the financial reporting function, you and your team will serve as points of contact for financial reporting expertise in working to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and, as necessary, will participate in preparing technical memorandums that document issues in a clear, logical, and all-inclusive manner.
  • You will manage and / or support the fund accounting manager in the communications with external auditors on financial reporting issues to ensure proper resolution.
  • You will communicate with appropriate internal teams or client teams to resolve open escalated issues and questions, reaching out to internal technology support and vendor support when necessary to resolve any production issues or system support queries.
  • You will conduct performance appraisals, monthly one-on-ones with the team analysts/supervisors and provide career pathing and training. You will also ensure staffing requirements are met by assessing resource requirements, interviewing candidates, and hiring employees. You will provide and foster a team environment to include individual development, promotions and disciplinary action

What we need from you:

  • BA / BS in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in mutual fund or alternative investment funds industry.
  • Minimum of 2 years' supervisory or management experience.
  • Experience with financial statement preparation required.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • The self-motivation and drive to monitor multiple client deliverables without sacrificing excellence or quality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as you will primarily support your clients through email and/or phone calls.
  • Strong customer service skills as you will be communicating daily with internal and external clients.
