As the Leadperson I, you will assist the Supervisor in coordinating daily operations within the department, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity. Under the guidance of the Production Supervisor, you will support the Supervisor in meeting safety, quality, and pace metrics, while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

You Will:

  • Maintain a safe work environment, following safety rules and regulations, and escalate concerns immediately. Report job-related injuries or illnesses to the Supervisor.

  • Lead by example, adhering to the Watts Code of Conduct, and promote continuous improvement and mutual respect within the team.

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and guidelines. Ensure team members complete required in-process inspections and documentation to track process control.

  • Coordinate activities to maximize labor and equipment efficiency, ensuring pace requirements are met without compromising safety, quality, or standard operating procedures.

  • Identify and address process and personnel issues promptly, escalating as needed to the Supervisor or Manager.

  • Assess training needs and assist in the development of team members as directed by the Supervisor.

  • Participate in daily communication meetings to stay aligned with team goals and expectations.

  • Perform routine housekeeping to maintain environmental and safety standards in the department.

You Have:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent education.

  • Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with safety rules.

  • Strong understanding of confidentiality.

  • Good attendance and punctuality as per company standards.

  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement practices.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
