Master Production Scheduler

We are Systems, LLCa leading manufacturer and designer of loading dock equipment. Wecontinue to GROW and are seeking a motivated team player to join our organization.

This is a role within Systems' Operations and Supply Chain group. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Populate, review, and maintain scheduling dispatches, collaborating with Operations, Purchasing/Inventory, and Engineering to establish production schedules and keep key products on track, and (ii) Regularly report on the status of various production stages in meetings, ensuring alignment with team members to meet delivery goals. Requires 3+ years of experience in purchasing and/or material control as a buyer, expeditor or planner with extensive supplier contact and a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Populate, review, and maintain scheduling dispatches, collaborating with Operations, Purchasing/Inventory, and Engineering to establish production schedules and keep key products on track

  • Regularly report on the status of various production stages in meetings, ensuring alignment with team members to meet delivery goals

  • Review and maintain forecasting tools for R&O demand, including material usage, and ensure high accuracy in releasing jobs, printing routings, and sketches as per work instructions

  • Perform routing modifications and rework operations as necessary, supporting production and quality, while also implementing Engineering Change Notices (ECN) for assigned parts

  • Maintain accurate ERP/MRP system parameters, overseeing work order generation and release, rescheduling orders, and managing area capacity plans or production forecasts for sustainable processes

  • Review job routings at the closing process to correct discrepancies in yield and follow up on documentation for parts with quality rejects; also regularly review slow-moving WIP in manufacturing for accuracy

  • Perform cycle counting and engage in continuous improvement activities to enhance inventory record accuracy and overall production efficiency

  • Collaborate with the Purchasing/Inventory Team on parts requiring outside processing, coordinate shipments, and ensure adherence to Safety and Quality Work Instruction requirements

  • Utilize operational and productivity systems effectively, including ERP (Info Syteline), MS Office Suite, and Excel, to maintain or exceed production standards

  • Execute daily production plans to balance requirements against capacity, coordinating with production management to meet delivery and inventory goals

  • Lead and present at manufacturing core team meetings, discussing KPIs, identifying issues, and aligning on solutions to meet production plans

  • Align production schedules with target stock levels, optimize master production schedules for labor and equipment utilization, and ensure timely production and shipment of customer orders to comply with customer pick up dates (MTO)

  • Coordinate with production management to ensure delivery and inventory goals are met; Establish and evaluate production schedule priorities; Oversee the release of production orders; Analyze work centers capacity and level loads requirements to ensure production schedule is meet.

  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.

  • Protect Chamberlain Group's and Systems' reputation by keeping information confidential.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 3+ years of experience in purchasing and/or material control as a buyer, expeditor or planner with extensive supplier contact

  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP Systems (Infor Syteline preferred or similar ERP, such as Epicor, SAP etc.)

  • Able to establish effective working relationships with suppliers

  • Advanced knowledge of realistic master schedules; planning, programming and sequencing production and capacity planning

  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel, and MS Office Suite

  • Strong project management skills

  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines.

  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and team skills working in a fast-paced, customer-oriented team environment.

  • Effective math skills necessary; accuracy and detail orientation.

  • Preferred: Ability to travel to other plants as necessary

  • Preferred: APICS certification
