Retail Sales Associate
Job Description SUMMARY Present, promote and sell products/services. Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and cultivate robust client and vendor rep relationships. This includes contacting clients daily as required, qualifying their needs for any foodservice products while promoting our brand with our Core Values at the forefront of all transactions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Become experienced in the commercial foodservice industry through self-motivated learning and sales trainings
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Present product quotations and product recommendations
- Reach out to client leads through friendly, formal introductions via cold calling/emailing
- Receive inbound calls, make outbound calls to existing and new clients
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize client experience
- Supply management with reports on client needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
- Coordinate sales effort with team members and various departments
- Collaborate with management and front counter sales teammates on best practices and promotional trends
- Continuously improve through feedback
- Other duties as assigned
External Qualifications KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESRequired:
- Proven work experience as a Sales Representative
- Competent knowledge of MS Office
- Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
- High energy, strong selling, negotiation, and communication skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
- Proficient in both English and Spanish (bilingual preferred but not required to be considered)
- Knowledge of the restaurant/foodservice industry, equipment and supplies, but not required
