Sr. Director, Product Marketing & Operations

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will collaborate with US and LATM Region Product Management and Marketing to develop the go-to-market strategy for the ABB's Commercial Essentials franchise, including defining and communicating product value propositions, loyalty programs, and promotions in accordance with Region strategy and goals. Each day, you will oversee sales and marketing activities and support Sales organizations in driving sales and services for the Commercial Essentials products. You will also showcase your expertise by defining, planning, and ensuring the implementation of product marketing strategies in line with global product strategy.
While this is a remote position, successful candidates should be located near a major airport.
This role is contributing to the Electrification Installation Products division in the United States.
You will be mainly accountable for:
*Creating, planning, and ensuring implementation of the local go-to-market product marketing strategy, including defining and communicating product value propositions and product positioning in accordance with the global product marketing strategy.
*Focusing on achievement of the target set for metrics like total demand orders (by ABB and third-party), growth margin percentage, net price variance, Net Promoter Score (NPS), inventory turn on finished goods, and on-time delivery as requested.
*Evaluating market opportunities, determining appropriate activities aligned with the overall strategy, and coordinating opportunities across local divisions and local business units, as appropriate.
*Ensuring balanced growth for all product lines, product groups, and business units and creating product demand by promoting technical aspects, providing solutions, and utilizing value-based selling approach.

Qualifications for the role
  • BS Degree in Business or Engineering; MBA preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience in Product Management, Product Marketing, or Sales.
  • Prior experience and knowledge of electrical industry strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 30-40% as needed.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $92,500 and $171,500 annually and is eligible for a short-term incentive plan/annual bonus.
