Position Description

The Superintendent Controls is responsible for leading and coordinating the daily onsite controls system work within data centers. This role acts as the primary onsite authority, managing a team of Field Control Technicians and Engineers, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring all control systems work aligns with project goals. They will coordinate resources, schedules, team meetings, and serve as the central point of contact for technical issues onsite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily troubleshooting for data center control systems.
  • Own and enforce all safety protocols onsite, conducting regular safety audits and implementing best practices.
  • Manage and allocate tasks to Field Control Technicians and Engineers optimizing efficiency and maintaining project timelines.
  • Organize and lead team meetings to address project progress, safety updates, and technical issues.
  • Act as the primary onsite resource for technical questions and challenges, escalating issues to the Field Controls Manager when needed.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, ensuring accuracy and consistency with project requirements.
Required Education & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in HVAC systems preferred OR Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a field environment
  • Strong proficiency in controls systems software and diagnostic tools
  • Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing or mentoring teams in a field setting
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating work and resolving issues
