Description

LinQuest is seeking an Acquisitions/Lifecycle Logistics Manager to join our team in Albuquerque, NM supporting the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC).

An active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI is required to be considered.

The candidate will provide Life-Cycle Logistics Management support to an AFNWC Weapons System Program Office at Kirtland Air Force Base (Albuquerque New Mexico), ensuring efficient supply chain, maintenance/repair and modification processes to optimize sustainment for air-delivered nuclear weapons systems, associated support equipment and automated test sets utilized by US Air Force personnel worldwide.

Responsibilities:



  • Advise the Product Support Manager on the reliability, maintainability and sustainability of supported weapons systems, sub-systems and support equipment
  • Coordinate Logistics Assessments and other system Product Support activity relevant to logistics, supportability, reliability, maintainability, and operational analysis
  • Partner with government Engineering Specialists and system users to provide recommendations to optimize support of supported systems, support equipment, training & logistics processes
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records, ensure compliance with AFWNC standards, and prepare documentation for lifecycle management activities
  • Maintenance Management: Coordinate with government Engineering Specialists and system engineers and prime contractors to develop effective system technical data and timely & effective assessment/response to warfighter Deficiency Reports (DRs)
  • Product Sustainment: Coordinate & monitor effective logistics processes to maintain weapon system effectiveness, extend the system lifecycle (service-life), and support fielding of improved system capabilities or more effective/efficient logistics support
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with prime contractors, partner organizations, and internal program office and AFWNC work-centers to streamline logistics processes and resolve issues
  • Distribution Management: Support accountability, distribution and tracking of AFNWC/NDS-managed weapon system Test Variants and support equipment
  • Materiel Management: Coordinate with DLA and AFMC agencies to provision initial spare parts and ensure accurate part cataloging to enable ordering/procurement
  • Test Support: Coordinate with internal and external agencies to ensure required technicians, technical data and equipment support weapons system flight-test and ground-test activities to validate system performance or enhance system capabilities
  • Cost Analysis & Budgeting: Conduct cost analysis for lifecycle logistics activities and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising support quality & efficiency
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks in the system's logistics life-cycle, and implement proactive solutions to mitigate impact on product lifecycle and availability


Required Skills/Experience:



  • Knowledge of weapons-system Life-Cycle product support, logistics management and/or maintenance management, with a strong background in military or defense-related systems
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in military aviation/weapons system logistics and maintenance principles (or NNSA weapons system logistics), practices and processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, and familiarity with Air Force Maintenance Management Information Systems (ex: CAMS, G081, TICMS, NMC2, DAPS) and/or Property Management Systems (ex: TICMS, DIAMONDS, ILS-S)
  • Familiarity with AFI 63-125 Air Force Nuclear Certification Program, DAFI 63-101/20-101 Integrated Life Cycle Management, and DAFMAN 20-110 Nuclear Weapons-
    Related Materiel Management
  • Ability to multi-task, and prioritize activities by importance and suspense dates
  • Ability to work with a team of multi-disciplined specialists
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels, including a matrixed environment
  • An active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.



Preferred Skills/Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience related to Weapons System Life Cycle management (ex: SPO/Program Office duties, NNSA/National Laboratory logistics support, support of weapons system bed-down or flight/ground testing, DLA or Air Force Enterprise-level Supply Chain management
  • An additional 4 years of experience can be substituted in lieu of the degree.
  • DAWIA/Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP), and/or Air Force Logistics Professional Development Program (LPDP) certification in Life-Cycle Logistics, Maintenance Management or Logistics Management
  • Field or Program Office experience with accountability, maintenance management or logistics/supply chain management for nuclear-certified weapons systems



Compensation:



  • The salary for this position ranges from approximately $130,000 to $150,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
