Facilities Maintenance Technician

Staffmark is hiring an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. The candidate selected will be responsible for all upkeep and repair duties including changing light bulbs, maintaining green spaces, identifying the need for repairs, responding to and reaching out to vendors to schedule service work, and basic cosmetic repairs. Pay: $18.00/hr - $22.00hr

1st Shift Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday

Essential Functions:

• Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify any issues that may require repair or maintenance.
• Perform maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fixing plumbing issues, repairing electrical issues, and addressing HVAC problems.
• Conduct repairs on equipment such as furniture, doors, and windows.
• Assemble and install fixtures such as shelves, curtains, and cabinets.
• Detect and troubleshoot problems with equipment or buildings and liaise with contractors to ensure repairs are completed within a reasonable time frame.
• Manage inventory of repair supplies and equipment and ensure that all stocks are replenished as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections carried out.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience as a Handyman or in a similar role.
• Excellent knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to work with power and hand tools.
• Basic carpentry skills and knowledge of construction techniques.
• Good communication skills and ability to interact with staff professionally.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50 pounds.
