         The Water Exercise Instructor is responsible for facilitating appropriate instruction of water exercise for each class as scheduled for the facility. Reports to: Aquatics Program Director Essential Job Functions: 1. Follow facility rules and regulations in all areas 2. Respond to emergencies following facility emergency action plan 3. Greet and check in participants to daily water exercise class 4. Instruct an aerobic activity session that utilizes the water as the means of workout, use of music preferred 5. Ensure each participant receives proper instruction for his or her safety as well as workout desires 6. Be prepared for each class by setting up equipment prior to class and returning equipment you used during classes 7. Accurately complete all necessary records and reports 8. Attend clinics, seminars and other courses to continue updating class content and maintain personal interest 9. Comply with the staff rules and procedures as defined in the employee handbook Marginal Job Functions: 1. All other duties as assigned which relate to the functions of the job Qualifications Job Requirements Qualifications:
         1. National Certification for Aerobics or Water Exercise preferred, if you are not certified a minimum of 1-year water exercise teaching experience required 2. Current certification in First Aid and CPR from a nationally recognized association (AHA, Red Cross etc.) 3. Ability to respond to emergencies in a professional and mature manner 4. Good communications and leadership skill Requirements of Essential Functions: Occasional (1-33%) bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, walking, squatting reaching and stair climbing in order to perform essential job functions Lifting: 0-10 pounds constantly (66-100%) 10-25 pounds frequently (34-66%) Over 50 pounds occasionally (1-33%) Candidate Requirements
