Job Overview:

Astound is currently seeking a Senior Director of Sales in our Evansville, IN or Chicago, IL office. The Senior Director, Sales is responsible for increasing the customer and product penetration in the Illinois and Indiana markets to achieve budgeted revenue and net customer growth targets. This position leads residential direct sales, access and bulk sales, as well as the account maintenance team. They are also responsible for staffing, training, managing and motivating the department.

A Day in the Life of the Senior Director, Sales:



  • Actively support, promote and advance all aspects of Astound's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) goals and initiatives, recognizing it as a business priority, including creating a work environment where all employees feel valued, respected, heard and empowered to do their best work
  • Building, leading and motivating sales and account maintenance teams, accountable for selling Astound Broadband residential services to area residents in Single Family Homes (SFUs) and Multiple Dwelling Units (MDUs)
  • Present, negotiate and close contract pricing for access and bulk terms with decision makers at an executive level
  • Ensure delivery of premier customer service through management of account maintenance team and internal/external stakeholders
  • Meets or exceeds budget and performs against goals by implementing effective sales strategies, incentive programs, tactics, local marketing plan and processes
  • Oversee accurate sales forecasting and measurements. Ability to track new opportunities and renewal funnel and assist in closing business
  • Creates plan to develop and maintain target database
  • Management of current high value customer accounts
  • Analyze and report competitive trends and the impact on business goals
  • Motivates, develops and fosters ongoing product education for teams
  • Plans and attends sales and marketing events to promote, activate and sell Astound's products
  • Other duties as assigned


What You Bring to the Table:



  • Fifteen or more years of progressive leadership/management experience in direct sales, customer service, telecommunications, property management or related industries is preferred
  • Experience working with realtors and property management firms is preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong team player and able to work independently with little direction with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Exceptional leadership skills
  • Resourceful and possesses solid negotiation skills
  • Highly capable of resolving complex customer issues
  • Outstanding business acumen, good at managing deadlines and excels at building relationships
  • Must be well organized
  • Strong computer skills with a strong working knowledge of Google Suite products
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record per Company Policy
  • Ability to travel by ground as needed by the business up to 25% of the time


Education and Certifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Management preferred
