- Parker Meggitt, a recent addition to Parker Hannifin, is a global leader in the Commercial and Military Aerospace markets, specializing in a wide range of products including fire and smoke detection systems, extinguishing systems, bleed air overheat detection systems, actuators, rudder pedal assemblies, pumps, fuel gauging systems, and high-temperature cables. Located in Simi Valley, CA, this site is within the Fire Safety & Power Systems Division (FSPSD) and is a key supplier in select energy markets, particularly in nuclear gas analyzers and nuclear containment vessel penetration cables. We work directly with some of the largest aerospace companies in the world, including Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, and Lockheed Martin, among others.
JOB DESIGNATION The Manufacturing Engineer II provides a range of expertise in supporting and improving the manufacturing capabilities to produce products. They contribute to improving a range of fabrication processes that can directly impact the sustaining and growth efforts of operations and participate in the introduction of new products to the manufacturing and supply chain environment. JOB CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides significant expertise in developing a range of engineering solutions to improve the manufacture of new and existing Meggitt products
- Improves current production processes to manufacture products, using applicable methods and procedures
- Transfers new products into production from a "design for manufacturability" approach
- Participates in developing and maintaining documentation for processes and designs
- Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work
- Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience, judgment and precedents

- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
JOB SPECIFICATIONS Education: Completed Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required Years Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience Skills:
- Strong knowledge of designing manufacturing/test tooling fixtures.
- Excellent ability to apply a systematic and analytical approach to problem-solving
- Advanced knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement
- Ability to explain a range of complex technical information
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management tools

- Pay Range: $81,226 - Mid: 106,179 - $131,131
- Participation in Annual Cash Incentive Program (ACIP): 10.0%
