What You'll Do

This position will be located at our Corporate Office: 2355 W Pinnacle Peak Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85027

The Scrum Master is an Agile champion and advocates for the adoption and continuous improvement of the organization's Agile culture. The role is a servant leader who facilitates and supports our Scrum teams in delivering high value solutions to customers. The Scrum Master facilitates cross-functional teams in all aspects of the Scrum process including all Scrum ceremonies and other team events.

  • Acts as an advocate and champion for Agile and the implementation of Scrum in the organization.
  • Serves as Scrum Master for 1-2 Scrum teams.
  • Facilitates effective and efficient meetings including all Scrum ceremonies.
  • Owns, removes, and escalates impediments for resolution and drives identifying and mitigating risk.
  • Enables continuous improvement and facilitates communication across teams to proactively manage dependencies.
  • Influences and facilitates the empowerment of a self-organizing team.
  • Maintains transparency into the team's work through Agile tools and metrics.
  • Engages multiple roles and stakeholders in critical discussions for consensus building.
  • Coaches and supports continuous improvement within the teams.
  • Helps identify external dependencies and assists the product owner in planning.
  • Coordinates with other Scrum Masters and their teams on deliverables.
  • Assesses Scrum maturity of teams and the organization and coach's teams to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable.
  • Builds a trusting and comfortable environment where problems can be raised without fear of criticism or judgement.
  • Mentors teams and helps in achieving high performance and self-organization.

What You Bring

  • High School Diploma Required
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work and educational experience required
  • 3 to 5 years of similar or related experience as a Scrum Master for multiple teams required
  • Knowledge and skills to understand and embody Scrum core values.
  • Outstanding skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to accomplish objectives through collaboration and influence.
  • Knowledge of multiple Agile delivery frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, XP, LeSS, SAFe).
  • Experience within software development utilizing SDLC, ALM, continuous integration, continuous testing, pairing, automated testing, etc.
  • Agile tool knowledge (e.g., Jira, Rally, Azure DevOps) a plus.
  • Scaled Agile Framework experience a plus.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and/or Professional ScrumMaster (CSP-SM) certification preferred
  • Advanced Agile Certification(s) a plus Preferred
