Discover more about what we offer by visiting our Benefits page. A Day In The Life We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Tax Support and Project Coordinator to join our team. Responsible for team administrative matters and support, along with project coordination including tracking, planning, and maintaining timelines of projects. As a Tax Support & Project Coordinator you will:
- Assist with tax team compliance data gathering and administrative tasks including:
- Gathering Trial balances from internal accounting systems
- Preparing, distributing, and tracking information checklists to business units
- E filing extensions and some tax returns
- Preparing mailers and mailing tax items for team
- Maintaining Notice and Refund trackers in Excel
- Working with 3rd party provider platforms to upload and retrieve files for tax compliance.
- Assist with coordination on team projects and planning including:
- Preparation of PowerPoint presentations
- Schedule, prepare, and facilitate project meetings, including preparing agendas and minutes
- Maintaining status updates for projects list
- Coordinating process improvement planning and tracking
- Assist with Compliance Calendar Tracking including:
- Weekly, monthly, and quarterly updates to calendar
- Updating calendar system to reflect items cleared
- Follow ups with team on items noted in weekly meetings for calendar updates
- Assist with data entry on certain tax compliance items including:
- Sales tax data accumulation and filings
- Property tax trackers
- Excise Tax filings
- Texas Franchise Public Information Reports
- FATCA filings
- Mail scanning and distribution: Weekly maintenance of mail scanning and distribution to teams
- Team Support: Assist with planning special team events for gatherings, holidays, birthdays, luncheons
- Assist with engagement management including
- Obtaining Signatures for tax filings
- Engagement letter tracking and review
- Invoice tracking, approval, and submission
- Electronic filing of supporting records and documentation
- Communicate and coordinate with tax team personnel plan projects and address questions or issues that arise through data gathering.
What We Need From You
- Associate's Degree minimum requirement, in a business-related program preferred
- 1-3 years relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Required
- Microsoft Suite (Medium proficiency)
- Microsoft Excel (High proficiency)
- Organization and Project Management Skills (High proficiency)
- Strong Work Ethic, ability to drive results and coordinate with others (High proficiency)
