The Asset Management Alternatives Portfolio Services Team is seeking a professional with strong communication skills to work in a fast paced environment. Responsible for managing all of the firm's Alternatives business cash flow settlements/account reconciliation while applying your critical thinking skills to deepen your understanding of corporate loans. The team is looking for someone to collaborate with and provide the best in class Administrative Agent services to GS' internal and external all while having a focus on areas such as enhancing client experience and risk management.

OUR IMPACT

The AM Alternatives Portfolio Services team is responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate transaction processing across a broad range of products. The products supported are complex loan instruments that require close alignment and collaboration with the desks and multiple internal team along with direct interaction with GS' external borrowers and lenders. The team is at the forefront of shaping and driving change in the industry with the ultimate aim of delivering greater accuracy, control and efficiency for our clients and our business.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL



  • Manage and execute the raising of capital for GS clients through private equity and debit across corporate securities, real estate, and infrastructure-related assets
  • Gain a broad understanding of the respective business you support by servicing a robust portfolio and conducting daily exception monitoring and break resolution
  • Build your communication skills through interaction with middle office teams, sales teams, controllers, and other internal teams to resolve transactional issues and to collaborate on process and product enhancements and improvements
  • Operational risk management of the firm's cash flows related to lending and trading activities. Settlement functions include support of trading/sales, settlement execution and daily reporting while accurately managing the firm's books and records.
  • Perform regular due diligence by evaluating client payments inbound and outbound globally
  • Leverage your analytical skills by reviewing legal documents and ad-hoc reports for the client and internal business groups
  • Display your ability to function as a team player while working in a fast paced environment
  • Develop your project management skillset by managing and/or assisting with projects for system or process improvements
  • Develop your critical thinking by investigating and resolving transaction issues
  • Enhance your industry knowledge through settlement of complex loan trades
  • Showcase your ability to function as a team player in a highly collaborative environment while working closely with internal stakeholders such as the Business Groups, Middle Office, Strats, Legal, Tax, Controllers, Technology, etc.
  • Collaborate with Asset Management teams in New York, London, Bengaluru and Asia on initiatives supporting global markets


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of one to two years of experience in financial services.
  • Proven analytical skills, problem solving ability, and a control mentality paired with meticulous attention to detail
  • Aptitude for building relationships and ability to communicate complex issues to a wide array of internal clients with differing levels of product experience
  • Self-motivated and proactive team player, who takes ownership and accountability of projects, has strong organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively manage competing priorities
  • Flexible and able to work well under pressure in a team environment


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Loan Servicing or Bank Loan Middle Office background a plus
  • Strong knowledge or prior experience in settlements or cash control
  • Some depth of loan product knowledge
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
  • Ability to work well within teams in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to manage time effectively with competing priorities
  • Fast learner and adaptable to change
