Job Summary
This position will report to the Director of Development and will work in close collaboration with the Crow Museum staff and the Office of Communications at UT Dallas. The Marketing Manager will take a lead role in developing strategic integrated marketing programs that leverage traditional and digital media to support exhibitions, programs, and initiatives at the Crow Museum of Asian Art.

The Marketing Manager is responsible for all aspects of marketing project management, setting project management schedules, including media planning and placement, design and production of materials, and ensuring that campaigns remain on track to meet strategic objectives. Inter- and cross-departmental collaboration, and external relationship management with media partners, vendors, agencies, and designers is integral to the Marketing Manager's role.
Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree with coursework in communication arts; two years or more experience in promotion work, marketing or public relations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 3 to 5 years progressively responsible marketing or advertising experience
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing integrated multi-channel marketing plans
  • Strong verbal and written communications and project management skills
  • Knowledge of digital marketing including social media
  • Strong Microsoft 365 skills
  • Adobe CS5, HTML, and email marketing a plus, but not mandatory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • With the Development Director, manage marketing projects for museum exhibitions, programs, and special projects
  • Develop strategic multi-channel marketing plan and budget.
  • Develop innovative and creative initiatives with internal departments to increase programmatic reach and expand the museum's audience.
  • Coordinate media plan and placement.
  • Draft copy and circulate for approval.
  • Select images and clearing rights as required.
  • With the Development Director and PR contractor, help to oversee internal projects, external designers, and agencies producing print ads and radio spots, video production, direct mail, e-mail promotions, banner ads, social media content, and other material.
  • With the Development Director, execute direct mail campaigns including quarterly calendars, postcards, members publications, and other mailers.
  • Monitor campaign effectiveness (especially for online and social media campaigns), producing timely reports, and developing contingency strategies if required.
  • Liaise with Curatorial, Development, Membership, Education, and Events staff to provide marketing expertise as required.
  • Write and post social media content and manage growth
  • Support special projects as needed
  • Participate in interdepartmental meetings and project teams as required.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions
This position will consist of general office conditions and will require working at a computer. From time to time, the employee will need to travel to the Crow Museum's second location in downtown Dallas.
