Responsibilities

As our Primary Therapist, you'll be the superhero of our clinical program! You'll conduct assessments, craft personalized treatment plans, and lead engaging individual, family, and group therapy sessions. Your clinical support will be key to creating a positive and healing environment for our clients.

Essential Duties:

Family Liaison: Be the friendly face and proactive communicator for families, guiding them through the therapeutic journey.

Therapy Wizard: Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions using Newport Healthcare's innovative clinical model and the magic of Attachment-Based Family Therapy.

Orientation Guru: Lead Family Orientations, Welcome Presentations, and Family Support Groups with enthusiasm and energy!

Assessment Ace: Conduct risk assessments and initial safety plans upon admission, along with thorough biopsychosocial assessments and treatment plans-on time, every time!

Team Player: Collaborate with the treatment team to coordinate treatment goals and services, with 30-day treatment plan reviews that keep everyone on track.

Documentation Dynamo: Keep accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and more-because details matter!

Crisis Commander: Conduct risk or crisis assessments and provide intervention and management when needed, all while keeping a cool head.

Meeting Maven: Attend weekly treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and clinical supervision-bring your ideas and your best self!

Tech Savvy: Enter and save data accurately using Word, Outlook (email and calendaring), EMR, and online learning platforms-tech is your friend!

Ambassador of Fun: Represent Newport Healthcare at meetings, trainings, and conferences, spreading the word about our amazing work!


Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field or enrollment in Doctorate program from an accredited or state approved graduate school required.
  • Licensed or ability to transfer license in Marriage Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, or Clinical Psychologist in the state in which services are provided
  • Experience with individual, family, and/or group therapy with young adults/adolescents
  • Experience with mental health, substance abuse, eating disorders, or trauma-informed treatment preferred.

Compensation for this role ranges from $32.21-$44.42 per hour depending on education and experience.
