Responsibilities

Job Summary: We are seeking a Commodity Manager to join our New Product Introduction Supply Chain team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for purchasing materials to support new product introductions, building and maintaining strong supplier relationships, and driving cost-effective purchasing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire lifecycle of purchase orders, from creation and delivery to invoicing and closure.
  • Keep internal partners informed on delivery status, pricing, and potential issues that might impact deliverables.
  • Negotiate pricing with suppliers to maximize cost savings, minimize unnecessary expenditures, and ensure new product introductions are financially viable.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with suppliers to ensure long-term collaboration and mutual success.
  • Execute Keysight's global supply chain strategy while integrating unique insights to meet the specific needs of internal customers.
  • Translate assembly drawings, bills of materials, and build plans into actionable and executable purchase plans.

Review and negotiate Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDAs) and Statements of Work (SOWs) with suppliers as necessary


Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated proactive communication and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Proven experience in commodity management, procurement, or supply chain management.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms, optimize cost savings, and ensure the timely procurement of high-quality materials.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle R12 Procurement / ERP Experience.
  • Experience writing and managing contracts.
  • Possess sufficient technical expertise to interpret and understand specifications on technical drawings.
