Join a compassionate, interdisciplinary team at MaineHealth Behavioral Health - Sanford, where psychiatric and medical care meet teamwork, purpose, and growth.We are seeking an overnight Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Psychiatric Physician Assistant (PPA) to care for adults facing acute psychiatric crises on our 40-bed inpatient unit. This is a dynamic clinical role that includes performing psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and acute care in the setting of a 40 bed adultacute inpatient psychiatric facility. You'll be supported by 24-hour physician coverage and a culture that prioritizes both patient care and provider well-being.Previous experience required.

Schedule:Full time overnight; 80 hours per pay period working five (5) 16 hour shifts, 4:00pm to 8:30am.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degreewith an advanced knowledge of nursing theory and practice, and additional medical training.
  • 1+ years of patient care in a community mental health center or hospital.
  • Advanced skill and knowledge in conducting psychiatric evaluations and treating patients.
  • Current and valid license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant by the Maine State Board of Licensure and qualified to do psychiatric evaluations and medication management.
  • Specific credentialing criteria needed if working in the hospital as defined by Medical Staff By-Laws.
  • 2+ years of patient care in an inpatient Medical Hospital is preferred.
