Description

The Used Equipment Evaluator thoroughly inspects the condition and operating function of equipment.

Essential Functions:



  • Completes TAI inspection SOS on all machines inspected along with proper documentation
  • Generates reports and emails
  • Performs thorough operation checks and machine-specific measurements
  • Takes pictures of equipment for documentation and support
  • Travels to and from equipment locations
  • Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
  • Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned



                Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



                • Knowledge and understanding of operating functions of equipment needed to be inspected
                • Knowledge of safe work policies, procedures, and practices
                • Effective time management skills in order to handle excessive workloads
                • Attention to detail and being thorough in completing work tasks
                • Communication skills with coworkers and customers in order to maintain and develop relationships
                • Technical writing skills in order to write sentences and paragraphs for work-related documents
                • Proficient with Microsoft Word, e-mail, and media transfer in order to process and generate reports
                • Ability to handle excessive workloads and stress
                • Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong; it does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem
                • Ability to adapt and learn new tasks to perform the work needed
                • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences


                Education and Experience:



                • High school diploma or equivalent required
                • One to three years of experience required; three to five years preferred


                Supervisory Responsibilities:



                • None


                Travel:



                • Daily travel is to be expected, overnight stay when needed, usually 12-18 nights per 12-month period.


                Physical Requirements:



                • This position involves being in stationary positions; additionally, frequent standing, and walking; and occasional kneeling, crouching, stooping, crawling, balancing, climbing, and reaching
                • Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
                • This role frequently communicates with others, and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations


                Work Environment:



                • This job is generally performed in a Field Office environment
                • Frequently works outdoors and may be exposed to weather extremes conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity
                • Required to perform work in cramped spaces including open and enclosed vehicles or equipment
                • Exposure to extremely bright or inadequate lighting
                • Exposure to hazardous contaminants, conditions, and equipment
                • Exposure to minor burns, cuts, bites, or stings
                • Exposure to noise levels that can be distracting or uncomfortable; and may cause whole-body vibration
