Job Summary

Information Technology Services (ITS) at the MCCCD is looking for an Identity & Access Management (IAM) Associate. This role has first-level responsibility to manage user accounts and permissions, grant/deny access to MCCCD systems and applications, and create and manage user groups. The IAM Associate will apply established MCCCD policies and procedures and Information Security directives to execute daily activities.

Essential Functions

30% - Monitors user activity; prepares and analyzes related reports; documents and updates IAM processes and procedures; recommends and/or develops IAM metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to track progress and measure success.

25% - Administers user accounts and permissions, grants/denies access to MCCCD systems and applications, creates and manages user groups; identifies IAM issues and develops and implements creative solutions; escalates issues for resolution as needed.

25% - Participates in IAM projects, including implementation of new technologies and efforts to improve general security posture; assists with project documentation, coordinating project resources, and testing activities.

10% - Collaborates with other IT team members to ensure IAM solutions are seamlessly integrated into the overall IT infrastructure; participates in security-targeted testing of software applications; stays abreast of IAM best practices and recommends/applies that knowledge.

10% - Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in any field.

OR

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree, education, certification and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.

Desired Qualifications

A. Experience administering individual user and group accounts and permissions.

B. Experience drafting and maintaining IAM technical documentation.

C. Experience supporting client-server applications running Windows or Linux server operating systems.

D. Experience with database concepts and relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Powershell Scripting, C-Sharp, & Active Directory.
